- Rumor - GTA IV Sequel To Return To Vice City
- Posted 5 months ago by Veggie Jackson
Waaaaay back in 2002, Rockstar changed the face of the game world forever when they released Grand Theft Auto III. Less than a year later, GTA: Vice City was released, giving gamers even more open-world freedom and urban violence, this time in a neon-laden, semi-tropical setting. April 29, 2008 will mark the launch of GTA IV, the current-gen continuation of the series. Just like its numerical predecessor, this one will take place in the fictional Liberty City, this time looking suspiciously like a well-known American metropolis. According to French news site, Play3-live.com, a major Belgian distributor has received an official statement from Take-Two stating that the inevitable sequel to GTA IV will take place in Vice City. Here’s the article, poorly translated from French into regular-people language:
A Belgian supplier of important size recently received an official statement of Take Two in which is the line up 2009 of the firm. On this one beside the mention Automne 2009 a paragraph ô appears how much interesting:
" Large Theft Car Sequel (Not Announced): Find Vice City, corroded by the corruption and the decline. Your business is put at evil by the local police force, your mission is thus to rectify the bar and to reaffirm you with the head of the city to the miles colors. "
With note that this official statement also makes state of the exit of certain BioShock 2 for September 2009.
Information or blow of pub? We await news of Take-Two on this subject before jumping to the ceiling of joy. We remind to you just that AWG Vice City had left less than one year after AWG 3.
How much interesting, indeed! While it’s just a rumor at this point (and quite possibly no more than blow of pub), this bit of info has many of us jumping to the ceiling of joy already. If this turns out to be true, perhaps we’ll have our business put at evil in an HD version of San Andreas in 2010 or 2011.
Then there’ that little bit about BioShock 2. September, 2009 sounds about right for a sequel to 2007’s game of the year, so while it’s not terribly surprising news, it does lend some credence to the rumor. We’ll be following up on every part of this rumor until it’s either confirmed or disproven, so stay tuned to Gamervision, a news site of important size.
