- Call Of Duty MMO On The Horizon?

Call of Duty 4 is the top game on Xbox Live, with tens of thousands of 18-player matches going at any given time. Add to that the thousands of PS3 matches and 32-player PC contests, and you’ve got a seriously large army of virtual soldiers. Now, imagine that all these players and more playing on the same enormous map simultaneously. Mind-boggling, right? Well it seems that Activision CEO Bobby Kotick is so taken with the idea that he presented it as a serious possibility at a Morgan Stanley technology conference.
With the recent acquisition of Blizzard, Activision now has access to the expertise and experience of the World of Warcraft team, and would, according to Kotick, take advantage of this in the creation of a Call of Duty MMO. Keep in mind that this is the same Bobby Kotick who just last week stated that if it was even possible to topple the World of Warcraft empire, it could cost a company up to $1 billion, so a grain of salt is highly recommended. Still, though, the idea is a good one, and if they could get a CoD MMO to run smoothly, I’d be the first in line to not only pick up the title, but to pay $15 a month for the subscription, too.

Remember PlanetSide? I never played it but the genre hybrid is doable. Especially for COD, given the points Sean has made.
Well they got the lvling system down.
I think this could turn out to be a really awesome idea. When think about it, the leveling and experience are already part of the on-line experience. I guess I'm alone in thinking this could work...

Don't think I can see this game as a good MMO. I'd never actually even consider it one. The only thing I have to say in it's defense is "There have been worse!"
So the barrel is going to be a playable race?
