- EA Extends NFL Deal To 2012 Season
- Posted 11 months ago by Veggie Jackson
When EA signed their exclusive deal with the NFL and NFLPA in 2004 for a reported $250 million, they basically shut the door on most everyone else looking to join in on the football love. Well, everyone’s gonna have to wait a bit longer, as EA has tied up the license for an additional 4 years, extending the deal to the end of the 2012 season. EA head Peter Moore also stated that this year’s offering, Madden ’09, will be getting special treatment due to this being the 20th anniversary of the franchise. Good to hear, but it might also be nice to see a little competition in the genre, and with no on else able to use real players and teams, that’s just not possible. So it looks like we’ll be getting more of the same until this guy graces the cover.

John Madden must wipe his ass with 100 dollar bills.
Yeah I actually heard good things about The Show I forgot about it.
Lane, you should try MLB 08: The Show. It looks like it could be the prettiest sport game ever made. Plus, this guy recommends it.
