Pretty much everybody in the Gamervision offices have the same feelings about the upcoming game based on the Iron Man movie; cautious optimism. Sure, the early trailer looks great and the character model for Iron Man is gorgeous, but let’s not forget that this is a movie game. A superhero movie game, at that. Still, my fanboy devotion and the overall bad-assery of that trailer are keeping me excited about the title.

There’s even more reason for hope today with the announcement that the three main stars of the movie, Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard and Shaun Toub, are also on board for the game. The three will provide voices for their characters, Tony Stark, James Rhodes and Yin-Sen, respectively. No word yet on the involvement of co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeff Bridges or Leslie Bibb, but at least we know the main character will have a voice that will match that of the movie. Let’s hope that the extremely talented Mr. Downey Jr. can muster more enthusiasm for voice work than Tobey Maguire ever did for the Spider-Man games, because maaaaaaan, he was terrible.
