Anyone who’s a Mortal Kombat fan can tell you that that’s a picture of Scorpion, the famous undead demon ninja who’s best known for throwing his grappling spear into opponents’ chests and screaming “”GET OVER HERE!” At the bottom of the image, there are some nonsense words that are an anagram for “Embargo lifts tomorrow.”
Let me get this straight: you put up a countdown clock that counts down to nothing in particular, then wait several hours before posting an encrypted message telling us to check back tomorrow for an actual update. Unacceptable. I’m a huge MK fan, but I’m more than a bit perturbed by these false promises and half-truths. What’s coming tomorrow, a blurry picture of Johnny Cage with the secret message “eomr fino ni Stuagu” (more info in August)? I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. Maybe.
One more weird thing; the image, hich is almost certainly a pic of Scorpion, has a filename of “rain02.jpg.” Strange. Rain is purple, Scorpion is yellow. Tough to mix them up, especially when you’re the co-creator of the game, Ed Boon!

More news! According to Mortal Kombat Online, it's been confirmed that the big reveal is a MK/DC crossover! The crossover was rumored back in Septembar, actually, but it turns out that it's now coming to life. Hm. As of writing this now, their server is busy, but there is a picture of Sub-Zero staring down Batman, with the caption, "Koming Soon", and an address: www.worldscollide.com. Right now it's just a placeholder page, but at least it's registered. Wish I could post the picture... can I post pictures in comments?
