- Squenix Claims Final Fantasy Vs. XIII Not on Hold

Yesterday’s story about Final Fantasy Vs. XIII being put on hold came from an English translation of a Famitsu interview with Tetsuya Nomura, so it’s entirely possible that something was lost in translation. According to Square Enix, the game is decidedly not on hold, and is still on schedule. The confusion probably stems from the fact that some Vs. developers have been working on the main FFXIII game in their downtime.
This is, of course, good news for FF fans. While we haven't heard anything about an actual relase date for any of the upcoming Final Fantasy games, it's good to know that none of them are being delayed any further. At least not yet.

As a Final Fantasy fan, I was actually hoping that Versus was delayed so they would focus on making Final Fantasy XIII the best game it could possibly be. Hopefully they'll both end up being stellar titles, but I hope Squenix isn't overextending itself here.
