Top 50 Developers Worldwide
Posted 8 months, 3 weeks ago by Veggie Jackson

Think Services, the umbrella company that includes Gamasutra.com, Game Developers Magazine and the Game Developers Conference, put out their list of the top 50 game developers in the world today.  The list was compiled using a formula that takes into account game sales, critical reception and fellow developer opinions, and, according to this system, Nintendo Kyoto comes out on top.  Nintendo Kyoto, the developer of titles like Brain Age and Wii Sports, came out ahead of Top contenders Infinity ward and Blizzard to claim the #1 spot in this inaugural list.  Only the top 20 are listed, and to be honest, the list is a bit suspect.  Capcom Osaka’s place on the list seems a bit high, and Naughty Dog’s exclusion can be seen as a snub.  Regardless, the top 20 are listed here.  If you want the full report, it’ll set you back a whopping $2,995.00.  Not sure who’s paying those prices, but I guess somebody thinks it’s worth it.
