- The $15,000 GT5: Prologue Racing Pod
- Posted 3 months ago by Voyou San
there is nothing to say except what a lucky punk!! I want one and I want one now and I am not even that big into racing games. So just read the tiny article below and marvel and the pictures.
We see you. We see you salivating all over your keyboard. If you are a serious Gran Turismo fan, this is the stuff dreams are made of. The winner of the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Middle East Challenge Ahmad El Azmi received a free trip to Japan to drive a Nissan GT-R and he took home the above GT Racing Pod. Valued at $15,000, the Racing Pod is equipped with a 40" Sony Bravia TV, a PS3 and a Logitech Driving Force GT Racing Wheel.
However, El Azmi wasn't satisfied with the setup, and decided to disassemble and reassembled the entire Pod. He added a shifter mounter, inverted stand for the pedals, a surround sound system and replaced the DFGT with a Logitech G25 Racing Wheel.

True, true.
Okay, point taken about any racing game... but still... you're locked into single player because none of your friends is going to build a $15,000 rig.
well it could be good for any racing game correct?
and Sean the basic setup was free, but he added a lot of stuff to it
$15,000 seems a bit steep for something that is good for exactly one game. Then again, since it was a prize, who's going to complain?
It's a good looking piece of junk. I mean, how the hell do you get that thing onto the road!? Seriously...,
It was COOL. Though I think that setup might be a little swankier.
DO WANT.
Sarah rolled in one very similar to that for Need for Speed, I think. Ask her how it was!
