Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is offering online customers a discounted bundle that includes Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 and an HDTV by Toshiba Corp.

The exclusive online offer includes an 80GB PS3, choice of Blu-ray movie, PS3 Blu-ray Remote, and a Toshiba Regza 32" Class Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV for $997.

Walmart.com is concurrently offering an 80GB PS3, Sony Blu-ray Remote, choice of two PS3 titles, and choice of four Blu-ray movies for $488.

In Nov., Wal-Mart brick and mortar stores offered a free $100 gift card with the purchase of an 80GB PS3 to encourage early holiday shopping.

Additionally, the retailer on Sat. price cut PS3 titles MotorStorm to $19.99 and Resistance: Fall of Man to $19.99.

Retailer Amazon.com offering two free Blu-ray disc titles with the purchase of an 80GB PS3, Blu-ray player, and any two Sony Blu-ray disc titles.

Sony in Oct. said that sales for the PS3 video game console are up 86 percent in year-over-year sales for the second quarter.

The company sold 2.43 million PS3 units between July and Sept. compared to 1.31 million units the year prior.
