1914: The Great War presents the bloody trench warfare of WWI in all its gory glory. Players will control infantry, artillery, air units, and some mechanized units during the turn-based action. Barbed-wire obstacles can be constructed and removed by "pioneer" units, and each civilization has a special unit. The British Mark VI tank, for example, and the German "Dicke Bertha" are powerful units with unique abilities. During combat, each side has a limited number of points to spend on units and can never exceed 30 total units, which helps balance the battles. All armies -- Allied and German -- wear historically accurate uniforms. Each unit gains experience as the battle progresses, earning promotions to "veteran" and "elite" ranking and gaining extra abilities. ~ Mark Hoogland, All Game Guide
