In 3D Cube Hopper, the Cube Hopper hops from cube to cube to change their colors. To get to the next level, he must change all of the cubes.
During his adventure, Cube Hopper becomes entangled with several enemies and heavy objects. First, there are rolling boulders that take diagonal paths down the cube arena. The second bad guy to enter is Snake, a coiled viper who chases Cube Hopper around the board. The third enemy to hit the board is Frog. Frog changes cubes back to their original colors, making more work for the hero. The final enemy to come onto the scene is Funny Looking Guy, a creature resembling an octopus. Any of these bad guys can kill Cube Hopper.
Cube Hopper does have some refuge against the onslaught of enemies. First, there are the multicolored beach balls scattered on the fringes of the board. Jumping on these balls kills all of the enemies on the board and safely transports Cube Hopper back to the board's original cube. If the bouncy guy cannot get to ball, he can grab one of the hourglasses that occasionally fall from the top of the board. The hourglasses freeze enemies for five seconds, allowing Cube Hopper to make an escape.
3D Cube Hopper features 20 levels with five different background scenes. Players with slower computers can turn off the three-dimensional cubes or the backgrounds for a reduced graphics gaming session. Players who crack the top ten scores can enter their initials. ~ Anthony Baize, All Game Guide
