As a Wii-specific game designed to get gamers off of the couch and into a more active lifestyle, Active Life: Outdoor Challenge could be described as Namco Bandai's take on Wii Fit. However, instead of using the Wii Balance Board and a menu of strength training, aerobics, and yoga exercises, Active Life makes use of a DDR-style dance-mat and more than a dozen outdoor-themed mini-games such as river-rafting, log-jumping, and mine-cart racing. Active Life is similar to Wii Fit, though, in that they both keep track of gamers' fitness progress, they both let players use their Miis, and they both include co-op play and training modes. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
