A direct translation of the PC version, Bedlam for the Macintosh is a 3D shooter game in which players control one of three robots from a top-down perspective and must blow up almost everything that crosses their path. According to the story, biomechanical creatures that were originally harmless, created to perform menial chores, have mutated into fearsome beings and taken over the planet. The player takes on the role of a mercenary who must control a team of up to three robots in order to put a stop to the biomech's tyranny.
The battle takes place on three different fronts and involves the destruction of just about every object on the screen, including waves of attacking enemies. All sorts of weapons and power-ups can be added to your arsenal while traversing through the levels, and they'll be put to good use when the fray starts. A few puzzles are thrown in for good measure, but this title's focus is purely on the action. ~ Scott Steinberg, All Game Guide
