The first part of a multimedia franchise set to include comic books and a feature film, Blacklight: Tango Down is a first-person shooter set in Balik, a fictional near-future city in eastern Europe that has been thrown into chaos by the assassination of its country's president. A Blacklight team led by Colonel Klein was sent in to help restore the peace, but subsequently went missing, and the prime suspects are The Order, the rebel group responsible for the president's death. Players are tasked with assaulting The Order's headquarters, but in addition to fighting off rebel soldiers, gamers must also take on hordes of enraged civilians who have been infected with a virus that causes them to attack anyone they see. Designed primarily for multiplayer competition, Blacklight: Tango Down features seven game modes and 12 different maps that can accommodate up to 16 players, but the game's "Black Ops" mode offers four intense missions for solo or co-op gamers. All of the modes let players gain experience points to improve their abilities and earn new weapons and items, including Hyper Reality Visors that allow gamers to see through walls and digi-bombs that temporarily render the visors ineffectual. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
