The young Native American protagonist Brave made his debut in the 2007 platformer Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer, and he returns for an encore in this adventure puzzle game. Combining gameplay elements of a traditional Tetris-style block-dropping puzzle with light adventure akin to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, Shaman's Challenge finds Brave on a quest to protect his way of life. Each enemy he confronts bears a symbol of weakness and a symbol of power, and these symbols fall in pairs during the puzzle portion of the game. By stacking and eliminating groups of four or more weak symbols, gamers can help Brave inflict damage on his foes, but grouping power symbols will help the enemies regain health. The controls are entirely stylus-based, and as the quest unfolds Brave can unlock newer shamanic spells that will help him reach his ultimate goal. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
