Originally released on Sega Genesis as Devilish, Classic Action Devilish makes its DS debut as an enhanced port with updated visuals and remixed music. The action is similar to such ball-and-paddle games as Breakout and Arkanoid, where the object is to break bricks and other barriers by keeping a ricocheting ball in play. Since the ball is constantly in motion, players must prevent it from falling off the screen by moving a platform left and right. What sets Devilish apart from similar titles is its occult theme, with areas that include dungeons, graveyards, and more, and the addition of a second platform positioned above the first. The second platform can be used to push the ball up the scrolling environments and can even be rotated for angled shots. To complete each of the five multi-level stages, players must battle boss characters, avoid monsters, hit power-up targets, and keep the ball moving forward. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
