Disney's Extremely Goofy Skateboarding presents the extreme sport in Disney-style, suitable for children ages five and up. While "goof skating," kids take control of Goofy and his son Max as they perform skateboard tricks and maneuvers in four 3D settings: The Beach, The City, The Desert, and Goofy's Neighborhood.

Five types of activities are available, including Shred Session (objectives), Tech Session (same as Shred Session but with a timer), and Goof Skate (leisurely exploration of the world with no preset objectives). In Trick Tutor, players are given the opportunity to learn new skating tricks, while Sole Session offers a chance to compete for points in a half-pipe arena.

Gameplay is from a third person, 3D perspective, accomplished with either keyboard or an optional DirectX-compatible gamepad. Each of the four worlds contains three separate areas, which must be played linearly in order to advance.
