Nintendo's popular puzzle game makes its (non-Virtual Console) debut on the Wii in the form of Dr. Mario Online Rx, a WiiWare release that contains both the titular puzzler and something of a Dr. Mario variant known as "Virus Buster." The core gameplay of Dr. Mario is unchanged: players maneuver colored pills to destroy bacteria of corresponding colors. Gamers can take on the bacteria alone, or go head-to-head against the computer or a friend in versus and "flash" modes, while a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection allows two players to square off anywhere in the world, using only one copy of the game. "Virus Buster" offers the same sort of gameplay as Dr. Mario, but it allows four players to simultaneously manipulate the pills directly using their Wii Remotes. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
