Fox Toons Bundle is not a game in itself, but a shrink-wrapped unit of four older Fox Interactive games published in 1997 under the Fox Toons Interactive label. The games included in the collection are: Hello Kitty Creativity Center, Frog and Toad Are Friends, Danny and the Dinosaur, and Baby Felix Creativity Center. All of these games focus on building early learning and creative skills in young children.
In Hello Kitty Creativity Center, developed by Big Top Productions, children can interact and play with Hello Kitty while simultaneously being instructed in the basics of reading, counting and math. The game offers three modes of play, including Make-A-Story, Storybook, and Numbers (with three levels of difficulty/complexity) to challenge children ages three to eight.
The game utilizes lively animation and friendly voice and text prompts to encourage the player's participation and interaction. Activities include the player assisting Hello Kitty decide what vegetables to pick from her garden to make a stew, creating Hello Kitty stories to print out and share with friends as well as helping that lovable kitty count ducks, flowers, and butterflies.
Based on the I Can Read series of children's books, Frog and Toad Are Friends is an action-filled activity center designed to help children improve early reading skills. Children can interact with the characters Frog and Toad on sentence completion, synonym and antonym vocabulary, story structure and sequencing, reading comprehension, and inference and logical deduction. Three levels of difficulty exist to challenge children.
From the main menu, you can go directly to any of the five activities: The Great Button Hunt; Silly Swimsuits; Wake Up, Toad!; Snail Mail; and Toad's Tales. Frog and Toad will give a short introduction to each, and the difficulty level can be set before beginning the selected activity.
Also based on the I Can Read children's book by Syd Hoff, Danny and the Dinosaur is a fun-filled activity center designed to help children improve early reading skills, including vocabulary development, understanding relative concepts, vowel recognition, spelling, letter and case recognition; and rhyming. Children can interact with the characters Danny, the Dinosaur, and their friends on five adventures with three levels of difficulty to challenge them.
From the main menu, you can go directly to any of the five activities: Downtown Fun, Hide-and-Seek, Toot! Toot!, Play Ball!, and Zany Zoo. Danny and the Dinosaur give you a short introduction to each, and the difficulty level can be set before beginning the selected activity.
The fourth and final game in this set is Baby Felix Creativity Center. This program is designed to help children ages three to six master essential early learning skills. Children can interact with and be entertained by Baby Felix (the cat) while also being instructed on the basics in art, music, shapes, and colors. Leading child educators helped develop the game's three level difficulty system to allow children to us the program independently or with an adult.
Baby Felix Creativity Center offers three activities: a music center (designed to teach kids how to play and create songs using a color-coded keyboard), choosing shapes and colors (designed to teach recognition), and a paint and draw area (create, color and decorate coloring and scrap book pages and slide shows). Baby Felix never speaks, but is present for all of these activities. ~ Tara Hernandez, All Game Guide
