High Heat Baseball combines graphics, AI and challenging gameplay with the already recognizable game of baseball.
In High Heat Baseball, however, some changes have been made from the regular baseball genre. Players are able to tell if a pitch is in the strike zone just by watching it . . . no more blindly swinging for everything. The computer will feverishly and desperately try everything when it's losing . . . from double-switching, to using different bullpen management tactics.
Players are able to take up the role of managers themselves and either play out or simulate their individual games. They can also track their team's statistics. If players want to avoid playing out an entire season, they can quicksim to the playoffs. The game's other season options include wind, DH, and inning-length settings.
A home run challenge is featured, and High Heat Baseball supports 1 or 2 players. ~ Chris Couper, All Game Guide
