Impossible Mission is a port of the computer game by Epyx. In it you play the role of a government agent out to stop the terrorist Professor Elvin Atombender. Professor Atombender is a computer genius with a hobby of building deadly robots.

Once inside his enormous complex you will need to stop him by completing puzzles. Using the main elevator players go from room to room searching objects for puzzle pieces. Rooms usually consist of a computer terminal, robots, furniture, and lifts. Each room requires players to quickly determine a strategy that will allow them to reach every object in the room. Typically this means that you must use the lifts to your advantage while avoiding robots. Being killed by a robot will not end the game but it will reduce the time limit as well as send you back to the room's doorway.

Finding all of the puzzle pieces to each of the different colored puzzles will not complete them. Instead, users will have to play with the pieces in order to complete them.
