The game follows the basic plot of the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. A high priest, Mola Ram, forces the children of Mayapore to work as slaves. He has also stolen the sacred Sankara Stones. As Indiana Jones you are to free the children and retrieve all three of the Sankara Stones. On the first level the children are in cages that can be opened with the crack of Indy's whip. After freeing the children exit the level through the mine shaft. After reaching the end of the tracks you find yourself at the Temple of Doom. Here one of the stones can be found.
