The third Marine Corps sniper/spotter collaboration from Groove Publishing and Jarhead Games, Marine Sharpshooter 3 features more of the same crosshair counter-terrorism as the first two games, but now players may also act as the spotter. Snipers and spotters have different abilities, weapons, and equipment, and in order to complete missions players can either switch back and forth between the two or relay messages to each other through complex hand signals.

The entire single-player campaign can also be played with a friend acting as either the spotter or the sniper. Each mission carries several primary and secondary objectives that can be completed in numerous ways and at varying times. Additional multiplayer modes include Sniper Teams mode, where eight sniper/spotter teams face off to complete objectives, and Death Match, where players fight to the death across the games' ten maps using any of the more 20 different weapons and tools available. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
