Billed as the "number one multimedia encyclopedia at home and in schools," Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Deluxe 2001 features over 290 videos and animations as well as an assortment of new features over previous versions. "Encarta Today" offers users a chance to update information online, while the "Web Center" expands the content to specific, pre-screened articles available on the Internet. Also new is the "Researcher Tool," which helps organize and cite information found while browsing the three-disc set. Close to 40,000 articles are a mouse click away, with more than 10,000 individual images and multimedia clips to see and hear. Students can generate reports, explore history, and learn more about current events from within Encarta's "Study Center." ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
