Play as any of the 28 official NFL teams in 1988 in NFL Football, the first NES football game to carry the official license of the National Football League. Included is a playbook from which to choose more plays than any other football game up to this game's time. The teams are graded according to their abilities at the time (i.e. an A in passing, a B in tackling, etc.). However, you have the ability to change your team's abilities to your liking. Some other unique features for a game of its time include a coin toss, penalties, and close-ups on action. Despite the official NFL license, there is no NFLPA license. As a result, there are no real players in NFL Football. ~ Christopher Michael Baker, All Game Guide
