Omni-Play Basketball is a base program that can be upgraded through a variety of expansion packs. This base set includes the SBA league and end-view gameplay. There are no NBA players in the game, only players created by DesignStar, hence the name SBA. End-view means that you view half of the court at one time. As soon as the ball crosses mid-court the game switches to the other half.
Outside of actually playing games there are literally a ton of statistics to look at. You can make up your own team and place it in any division. Players can be created, trained, or traded. Before beginning a season a variety of options are available: one or two human teams, minutes per quarter, games per season, and length of playoffs. A team can be used for an infinite number of seasons. However, only the most recent nine seasons have their statistics available for viewing. Overall franchise records are kept though, as well as team records and individual player performances.
The two-player option allows players to play against each other or on the same team. If you get tired of the current game you can always pick up an expansion pack. Expansion packs include: Pro League, College League, Fantasy League, Side-View Game, and Print Utility. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
