Namco Bandai's definitive maze game returns with new game modes, evolving mazes, and new graphical flourishes in Pac-Man: Championship Edition. The core gameplay remains the same, with players guiding Pac-Man through each maze as he eats dots, fruit, and power pellets while attempting to avoid four ghosts. Pac-Man: Championship Edition does feature some major departures from the classic versions of Pac-Man however, as gamers are now given only five minutes to score as many points as possible, and each maze is divided into two halves. Once players eat all of the dots in one half of the maze, a new piece of fruit appears on the opposite half of the maze, and once that fruit is eaten, a new portion of maze appears on the original side.
