Rise of a Dynasty is the first official expansion for Gaming Minds Studios' naval-themed empire-building strategy title Patrician IV, and it offers gamers new cities, new scenarios, and multiplayer co-op action. Players can extend their empire into four new territories and eight new cities, while the addition of land-based caravans offers another way for merchants to expand their reach. Six new scenarios send gamers on a variety of missions and assignments, and a new treasure map mechanic was designed to encourage players to explore all of the available environments. Each scenarios can also be played in the multiplayer co-op mode, where up to four Internet- or LAN-connected gamers can join the same Hanseatic trade organization to engage in battles, with the ability to drop in or out of the action at any time. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
