Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a high-drama courtroom graphic adventure. As in the original GBA and Nintendo DS edition of the game, players take the role of an up-and-coming trial lawyer Phoenix Wright, a defense attorney who protects falsely accused clients. Each case begins with a short vignette that shows scenes of the crime itself. Players may know that their client is innocent from the start, but the challenge is proving it. The story moves forward through still-shots and text, and players will need to investigate crime scenes and obtain crucial evidence. In the courtroom, during testimony, players can cross-examine witnesses by selecting questionable remarks from a transcript of their statements.
