PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe adds the "Encore" expansion to Q-Games' tower-defense title in which players attempt to protect helpless villagers from hordes of marauding creatures by knocking down trees and building towers in their place. An entirely new island adds 15 levels, increasing the total number of stages to 36, and gamers once again begin each level with a set amount of money to spend and a small number of towers available. There are ten different towers in all, and exploring the wilderness and killing monsters rewards players with money and crystals, which can be used to unlock more advanced towers. PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe also lets PS3 gamers upload their individual stage and island scores to the PlayStation Network. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
