This Game Boy Color title is the first of several releases based on the computer animated movie Shrek. Shrek: Fairy Tales FreakDown leaves the storytelling to the feature film, as gameplay involves a series of one-on-one battles with nine characters from the movie. Six characters are immediately playable, with the remaining three becoming available after you defeat them. Each character has a fighting style and special moves appropriate to his or her personality. Shrek also features three difficulty levels and a separate training mode allowing players to learn the controls and develop their skills. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
