Intended for girls in the 12-17 age group, Teen Digital Diva contains multiple activities for creation of a virtual magazine, with topics including style, makeovers, trends, critiques, horoscopes, and personals. Inspired by Teen magazine, published by The Petersen Companies, Inc., the game offers scanning and import of personal images (.bmp format), a face editor, page layout tools, and color printing of the finished product.

Virtual editors provide help in the areas of art (cover design, horoscope, page layouts), beauty (makeovers, face art), and fashion (7th Avenue, Millennium Filter, and What's Hot What's Not features). An Editor-in-Chief gives assistance in preparing topical articles in categories including Quizmaker, You Review, Why Me?, and Free for All. A "Wonderwall" feature is used to track the status of the 11 activities.

Certain activities in Teen Digital Diva are limited. Models are excluded, thus only a face hovers above clothes you design, you can't create your own magazine title, and no options are available for inputting personal letters or observations in various sections (e.g., mailbag, music critiques). Because the game limits personal control over topics, features, input, and articles by providing all content other than digitized faces, long-term use becomes stale once all options are explored. ~ Michael L.
