Old Man Stauf was a toy maker, but, before that, he was a bum--a homeless drifter who stole and even murdered to survive. A series of visions revealed toys to him, toys that he later made and sold. This enabled him to become rich, even during the depression.

Children loved Stauf's toys. "A Stauf toy is a toy for life" was Stauf's motto. Many children bought his toys. Many died holding them, sick with an illness that defied explanation or treatment.

Stauf closed his shop, but, before he did, he had one last vision, this time of a castle on a hill--a home for himself. He built the castle he had envisioned and threw a party for six guests.

Neither he nor his guests were ever seen again.

Rumors tell of another guest, a seventh guest who was also invited to the party. In The 7th Guest it is up to you to find out who that guest was and solve the many puzzles of Stauf's mansion. ~ Lisa Karen Savignano, All Game Guide
