The good ol' boys make their handheld debut with The Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home on Game Boy Color. The game takes place entirely from behind the wheel of the General Lee, Daisy's Jeep, or Cooter's tow truck as players complete a series of 27 missions to make it through one long day in Hazzard County.

The action is viewed from a three-quarter overhead perspective as missions range from straightforward races around a track to daring rescue attempts. Most of the missions involve getting from point A to point B within a time limit, and players must avoid taking damage from hitting obstacles or getting caught by the law.

Players can perform stunts while they weave their way across the dirt-filled tracks as well as pick up three power-ups: dynamite arrows, nitros, and wrenches. As players advance, more obstacles will line the streets and the pursuit of one Rosco P. Coltrane will become increasingly difficult to avoid. Battery backup allows players to save their progress to one of four slots. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
