The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is a 3D role-playing adventure that offers players many options in the creation of characters and interaction with the game world. This 2002 sequel to Bethesda's Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall offers gamers more open-ended adventuring across large and diverse fantasy environments.
Earlier games in the Elder Scrolls series helped pioneer the move of the RPG genre to a first-person format and also emphasized freedom in role-playing over scripted, built-in storylines. While the graphics in this third official Elder Scrolls release show marked improvements in detail and clarity over those of earlier titles, the interaction and gameplay of Morrowind should be familiar to veterans of the series, featuring great liberty in character creation and an entire virtual world to explore as the player sees fit. ~ T.J.
