SNK's flagship fighting franchise continues with The King of Fighters XIII, which includes more than 30 combatants and over six modes of play. The fighting engine has been redesigned for faster action, while new hand-drawn character sprites display more detail than those in previous installments. Other changes to the series include a less restrictive camera, less obtrusive backgrounds, and improvements to the network code for smoother, more responsive online play. Favorite characters -- such as Mai Shiranui, K', and Vice -- make a return to the fighting stage, with all characters skilled in new moves and "supers" to damage rivals in dramatic fashion.

The initial release of The King of Fighters XIII included a bonus four-CD soundtrack spanning 15 years of King of Fighters titles.
