PC pirates can build a fleet of ships and explore the bounding main of the mythical Far East in Tradewinds: Legends. Players begin as a landlubber or deckhand, and must work their way up to captain by completing over 100 tasks handed out by local rulers. Initially there are four existing characters to select, but once "Story" mode is completed, a fifth option allows users to create their own buccaneer. Along the way there are confrontations with pirates, opportunities to trade, and upgrades to obtain, which include both man-made and magical weaponry. Players may also equip seven unique ships with such ammo as cannonballs of fire and swarms of bees.
