Alan Moore's critically acclaimed comic book series, starring vulnerable superheroes living in a realistic world filled with paranoia and global instability, comes to gamers for the first time in Watchmen: The End is Nigh. The first in a planned series of downloadable episodes, and released to coincide with the Watchmen feature film, The End is Nigh is an old-fashioned street brawler set before the comic book's superhero-banning "Keene Act." Comprising six in-game chapters, the game lets players control the horn-rimmed Nite Owl and the ink-stained Rorschach as they pummel all manner of thugs and lowlifes. Both Rorschach and Nite Owl have unique fighting styles and abilities, but fellow series mainstays Doctor Manhattan, The Comedian, Ozymandias, and Silk Spectre only make cameo appearances during animated cut-scenes. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
