Mutants and Street Fighter characters have teamed up to find the missing among their ranks. While they are supposed to be working together, hunting down their arch-enemies Magneto and General Bison, they can't stop fighting one another long enough to begin their mission.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter brings together the incredibly popular team of Marvel mutant super heroes and Capcom's favorite street-fighting team in this home version of the arcade hit. Cyclops, Wolverine and the other members of the X-Men use their mutant powers to fight each other and Ryu, Ken and the gang from the Street Fighter universe, who also fight amongst themselves. Like most fighting games, this one features a multitude of special moves, combos and the like. When starting the game you must choose two characters from either team, one primary and one secondary. The primary character is your fighter, and the secondary character shows up only when you use the Hyper Special Combo.
