One of the more accurate versions of Sega's trend-setting arcade game, the Apple II version of Zaxxon has little in the way of sound effects (explosions and that's about it), but more than makes up for it with a good reproduction of the game's isometric graphics. Also, unlike the ColecoVision and Atari 5200 editions of Zaxxon, this one doesn't dispense with certain elements of game play due to memory limitations -- the missiles, gun turrets, and grounded enemy planes of the original are all there. At the time it was released, it was probably as close as you could get to the arcade experience. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
