How long have you been playing?

I've been playing for about two years now, and I have come a long way. At my college, there's an In the Groove 2 machine in, basically, the center of campus, so I get a lot of practice when I'm at school.
I've been playing for roughly four years, since, oh, I guess 2003. For some reason I always found playing in arcades to be much more difficult, not to mention more stressful and competitive. But there's nothing I love more than a rousing round of any DDR home version. I'm no master, but I can hold my own on "difficult".
So how long have you been stomping arrows? I've played on and off since 2001. And I mean REALLY on and off, as to say there have been years long stints of non-play. But I still love it. And still manage to get some of those harder songs.
