Guitar Hero = NOT METAL. Not even a little.
Created by: DOOMGIVERrule of thumb: the more a death metal record sells, the worse it is
Oh hell yes.
THE EARTH MUST BE CLEANSED OF SHITTY MUSIC
"The album debuted at #21 on the Billboard 200 chart with 33,740 copies sold in its first week. This makes Metalocalypse: Dethklok’s The Dethalbum the highest charting death metal album ever."
"Thunderhorse is a better song than 3/4 of the metal out there, fictional band or not."
I had a good laugh at that.
(p.s. in what appears to be a step to appease me, specifically, Guitar Hero 3 will include "Raining Blood")
Thunderhorse is a better song than 3/4 of the metal out there, fictional band or not. What makes a band real? The band members exsisting? If so the Gorillaz are a fake band.
Again, Thunderhorse is by a fictional joke/cartoon band. Thus, it is inherently not metal, as any REAL metalhead would've known.
I joined this club and then quit after I read this topic. Thunderhorse.
Hey guys, while browsing about this topic, I came across a Free PC game / application called "Frets on Fire" available for the PC using your 360 guitar. The game recognizes your guitar, downloads the proper drivers and allows you to play customized and / or user-adapted songs. As the name entails, the focus around the songs in general is Heavy Metal. In fact, you can download song packs (usually around 200 songs on bit torrent) that feature artists like Metallica, Slayer, Dragonforce, Children of Bodom, Mastadon, Immortal, etc, etc.. you can imagine the possibilities! More on this as I try it out a bit more...
"Thunderhorse," although an okay song in its own right, must be barred from consideration seeing how Deathklokk is not a real band. I did enjoy Metalocalypse as a show though. As for "Raining Blood," I don't think it's on a single Guitar Hero (although I did see a youtube video of someone playing Angel of Death, but I have no clue as to what game it was from). In any case, my real issue is the glaring omission of Slayer (or any other decent Thrash band) in "Rock the 8os"
Thunderhorse Raining Blood.
Is there a gamer alive who could keep up with a "Ride the Lightning" edition of Guitar Hero? I think not, but we will never know since Metallica will NEVER license their music. Also, all Metallica albums past Black are not metal. And they are all steaming piles of camel shit....
Seriously, how many Guitar Hero games have there been? 17? Yet, they still haven't made a single Slayer song playable. How are you going to make a game called "Rock the 80s" and not include "Raining Blood?" Apparently the infamous and totally leprechaun-esque Ronnie James Dio rocks harder than the myriad of thrash bands from the delectable decade. I mean, fuck, have those guys ever touched a real guitar? I smell a poser.
