I only have one friend locally that owns a PS3. He's not on that often when I'm on. We try and arrange games on XBox only because we have similar games on that system.
A majority of my friends on the PSN are from Gamervision. I don't get the chance to play with everyone here, either. Whether it be time, game differences or (again) time.
Not a lot of people have one yet. of all of my immediate friends, i'm the only one )':.
and I've noticed that everyone likes to pop the 'Is it worth it?' question. the only response is an incredibly exhasperated,
"Fuck no! I bought it a month ago, and I've YET to see it float |:"
Yeah it hasn't been selling well. but not too many people Have 500$ or 600$ to buy one, but i think your getting a lot more than a game console. I've always been a sony fan and i can see where they're heading. If people understand that your buying a Play station, Bluray player, Computer, and multimedia center with a 60G hardrive to throw in the price seems kinda reasonable. But I dont think consumers were wanting taht in a PS3. If they had just made the PS3 a game console with a much lower price, then I think they would have sold much better. Its almost as though they were trying to make the PS3 a PSX 2.0 ( it was sony old attempt at an all in one box. $900. it sold well in japan but never sold well in america). Sony tried to reovlutionize game consoles and they failed. They tried to make an all in one box. but that's not what consumers wanted. Besides the Price, its Awesome!
The Wii is to consoles what Twister was to board games. As Sony and Microsoft continue to battle over who creates the best "online multiplayer" mode, the Wii has bypassed them and created the first true multiplayer system.

well.. i dont think the PS3, Wii and 360 are competing in the same area.. The wii is well. the wii..
i think most "gamers" will have a Wii and one of the other 2 consoles.. that will probebly be the case 2 - 3 years from now..
The Wii is kicking the PS3's ass. I also heard the PS3 being refered to as "Sony's Sega Saturn". Yikes.
