Commodore CDTV

Essentially an Amiga 500 with a built-in CD-ROM and no keyboard or disk drive, the CDTV was Commodore's first attempt at a stand-alone game and multimedia console. Released in Europe in 1991, the system was a failure, with available sales figures revealing only about 30,000 sold. The CDTV was displayed at the 1991 Consumer Electronics Show, but few if any units were actually released in the U.S. All CDTV software is compatible with the Commodore Amiga CD32, released three years later. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
