3D Platform
Style
Games of the 3D platfom style typically involve moving a character through a three-dimensional environment, jumping over gaps and onto elevated "platform" surfaces. There may be enemies to defeat or avoid. Sometimes the character must collect certain items, such as stars or coins, in order to progress. The main goal in each level is often to guide the hero to a hard-to-reach exit location, to move to the next stage. As in their side-scrolling counterparts, 3D platform games usually feature a cartoonish mascot hero.
