Gamers lucky enough to have gotten into a game or two of Battlefield 1943 on XBLA can give themselves a pat on the back. Their contribution to the 43,000,000 body count helped to unlock a new map, Coral Sea, and a new game mode, Air Superiority.

I haven't had a chance to kill anybody, so I'm a little disappointed in myself for not helping contribute to the cause. I plan to rectify that situation right quick though. I just can't get over how fast that many freaking people got killed. That says a lot about not only how many people bought the game, but also about how often people have been playing since picking the game up.

Congratulations to all of you brave young men and women for your contributions to the war effort. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and you shall be forever remembered as the people who helped prove just how much stronger the online community on the Xbox really is.
