Awesome New Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition Trailer Is Awesome
How Can You Not Be Excited For This Game?

You know what really sticks in my craw? The belief that Resident Evil 5 was one of the worst Resident Evils made. It's easily in my top three, and aside from being the best looking game in the franchise to date, RE5 had a cool story with huge action set pieces that were a blast to play. When Capcom revealed Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition at TGS 09, I was stoked. New missions, playable characters, costumes and levels were more than enough incentive to pick up this expanded edition of the original game. Add in motion controls for the PlayStation 3 version, and you've got a game that I wouldn't miss for the world. Today, a new trailer released, which explains a bit more of the stories we're going to get to play through. Oh, and it gives us another glimpse of Sheva in her Red Riding Hood outfit. Yowza.
First things first, that new enemy in the flashback sequence looks really cool. It's got some kind of horrible growth on one side, and has some sort of anchor/hook for his right hand. Of course, there just had to be a reference to Jill's masterful unlocking skills thrown in there for good measure. There wasn't a lot shown of what happens to Jill when she meets up with Josh Stone, but that sequence looks like it's going to be a blast to play through, as well as fill in the gaps of just how everyone got to where they needed to be by the end of the original game. Anyway, I can't wait for this game to re-release, and give me an excuse to not only play through the regular story in its entirety again, but to play through all that cool new content. Oh, and new costumes for Sheva. That's important too. What can I say, I have issues.
