CES 10: Project Natal Confirmed For Holiday 2010
Didn't We Know This Already?
by 00.19

During last night's Microsoft CES press conference, sweaty Steve Ballmer revealed that Project Natal will be shipping during the closing months of 2010, just in time for the holiday rush. Of course, this was already pretty much known to be happening, but now at least it's official.
There aren't any more new details available at this time. Those of you hoping to hear how much the peripheral would cost, or what games people have to look forward to at launch will have to wait a little longer. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that ridiculously bizarre paint program will provide us with hours upon hours of fun, but I want to know what kind of games we can really expect to get when this thing ships.
I'm still not looking forward to this at all. Maybe once I see it in action, I'll appreciate it, but right now, there's just nothing appealing to me about jumping around my living room like a kid high off a Pixie Stix binge, or sitting on my couch, flipping through my Netflix queue by waving my hand. Is it that much of a pain in the ass to use your controller? How lazy do you have to be? I think these motion control things are getting a bit out of hand, and I hope that developers don't just put in senseless crap controls like there was in the entire first year of third-party Wii titles.

CONFIRMED!
Now it's going to be even funnier if this gets delayed.
But how will I know what the bottom of my Avatar's shoe looks like?
