Even though Dead Rising 2 won't be a console exclusive, that's not stopping Microsoft from making sure they'll be getting some content which will only be available on the 360. Like they've done with so many other titles, Microsoft has made a deal with Capcom for a downloadable prequel to this summer's highly anticipated zombie actioner to be released exclusively on Xbox Live.

Other than the title, Dead Rising: Case Zero, not much is known about the game thus far. Well, we know it will be out before the August release date of Dead Rising 2, but outside of that, we don't know what the story will entail, or whether it will even be starring Chuck Greene, the hero of the upcoming sequel. Perhaps it will bridge the gap between the two games, or maybe it will just be a brief tale about how Fortune City got to be so infected with the undead.

Dead Rising 2 was also given a hard release date of August 31st, 2010, but we already wrote that story damn near three months ago. Hate to say it, but we told you so. Now, if we could only get more people to believe us.
