E3 09: Kojima Teams With Mecurysteam For Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Konami Classic Reborn In 2010.

Speculation runs rampant the weeks before E3, particularly when you're a developer relying on countdowns to generate hype. After Kojima's Metal Gear announcements were made, my curiosity of what else the master could have up his sleeve for the Konami press conference peaked. Then, the bomb dropped. Kojima's working with Mecurysteam to develop an all-new Castlevania game subtitled Lords of Shadow.
Featuring the voice talents of Patrick Stewart and Robert Carlyle, amongst others, the game marks the first time that Castlevania will appear on next-gen consoles. No specific platform was revealed, but I think it's safe to say that both the 360 and PlayStation 3 will be getting the game. You can check out the trailer below.

OH. MY. GOD. I'm typing this as I'm watching. Robert fucking Carlyle?! Patrick goddamned Stewart? The hair on the back of my neck is kind of standing up from how awesome that looks.
Professor X, Lucius Malfoy and Francis Begbie in a Castlevania game produced by Kojima. It sounds like one of those crazy dreams where you wake up and think, "well, that was ridiculous, but wouldn't it be cool if it were real?" Like in 1986 I dreamed that I lived in a water park with Pee Wee Herman, the cast of Kids Inc. and my girlfriend, Alyssa Milano. And I could fly. Except this is real
I sure hope this is as awesome as I want it to be.
Oh course it is, Sarah. Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise wouldn't be in it if it wasn't.
I REALLY want this to be great. But I can't stop thinking about the last time Castlevania went 3D...
@TimO - UGH! Castlevania 64...
This looks so cool
